What are Shifts? What kinds of Shifts are there?

Shifts are short assignments that involve filling out a survey. There are location-based Shifts which require you to be a specific location like a store. There are also Anywhere Shifts that you can complete anywhere.


How do I complete a Shift?

Location-based Shifts: Find a Shift using the map or list view, Reserve it, then travel to the site to complete. It's a good idea to review the survey before beginning the Shift so you know what to look for.

Anywhere Shifts: Reserve and complete any Shift under the Anywhere Shifts list. You do not need to be at a specific location for these.


What do I do if the store is not there, closed down, etc.?

First check to make sure you are at the right location. Pins may be slightly off, so check the listed address as well. If you cannot complete a Shift for whatever reason, take a photo of what you see and provide notes in the Tips and Notes section at the end of every survey. Always do this when in doubt.


How do I submit a Shift?

You can choose to submit right after finishing a Shift, or you can save the Shift to submit at a later time (in an area with better service or WiFi).If you're having issues submitting, run through the basic troubleshooting tips below.

You can also try Abandoning the Shift, closing out of the app completely, then reserving and completing again. If all else fails, send a detailed note with screenshots to support.


How do I get paid?

You'll need to enter a valid PayPal email address into your account's settings. You can do this in the Profile page under the Dashboard tab. Shifts are reviewed and processed within 48 hours of submission, but you'll usually get paid much quicker than that.


What are points and levels for?

Points are a way to build your reputation and to earn more perks. You'll get promoted to higher levels as you complete Shifts and earn points. Currently, higher levels allow you to reserve more Shifts ahead of time -- a useful feature to ensure that Shifts will be there when you arrive at the site, or when you plan on doing multiple Shifts in a day.


Basic troubleshooting steps.

  • Make sure you have the most updated version of the app. This is under the Updates section in the App Store.
  • Close out of the app completely or reset your handset.
  • Make sure your device's Location Services are switched to "ON" for EasyShift.

The quickest way to get help is to email support. If you are emailing us about issues with the app, be sure to include detailed notes and screenshots if possible.
